One of the main breakthroughs revealed is that children with ADHD and autism tend to have much lower levels of the essential omega 3 fats in their brains.

“A lack of certain polyunsaturated fatty acids may contribute to dyslexia and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder,” reports one of the study’s authors, Paul Montgomery, D.Phil., a researcher in the psychiatry department at the University of Oxford in England.

He also stated that it was unlikely that the levels of these omega 3 fats could be raised sufficiently through diet alone, and quality distilled fish oil supplements are the best solution.
